Raipur : Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that effective implementation of Forest Right Act should be ensured in state. In the review meeting held at Chief Minister’s residence today, Mr. Baghel gave instructions to organize workshops in Raipur, Ambikapur and Jagdalpur regarding implementation of Forest Right Act. It was decided in the meeting that this workshop would be held in Ambikapur headquarters of Sarguja Division on May 28, in Raipur on May 29 and in Jagdalpur headquarters of Bastar Division on May 30. Chief Minister, Forest Minister, Chief Secretary, Regional Ministers, MLAs, Collector, District Panchayat CEO, Forest Department Officers, SDOs of Forest and Revenue Department, CEO of Janpad Panchayat, Assistant Commissioner, Tribal Development will also mark their presence in all of these workshops. In the review meeting, Chief Minister said that in these workshops, detailed and comprehensive information about Forest Rights Acts should be provided, so that its effective implementation could be ensured. It should also be ensured that only eligible beneficiaries are provided forestland rights certificates. He also gave instructions for distribution of community forestland rights certificates. Mr. Baghel also gave instructions to reconstitute the committees formed at Gram Panchayat, Janpad and District-level for implementation for Forest Rights Act. He added that the applications for forest land rights certificates, which were rejected before, should be reconsidered. Chief Minister directed the officials concerned to redress the cases of demarcation, transfer and division within the time-limit prescribed under Public Service Guarantee Act. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Mr. Sunil Kumar Kujur, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. CK Khetan, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Gaurav Dwivedi, Tribal Caste Development Department Secretary Mr. DD Singh, Parliamentary Advisor of Chief Minister Mr. Rajesh Tiwari, Rural Development Advisor to Chief Minisetr Mr. Pradeep Sharma and other officials concerned.
