- 591.75 crore buildings will be constructed in 24 months
Raipur. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday performed Bhoomi Pujan of Raj Bhavan, Chief Minister’s residence, Vidhan Sabha Speaker’s residence, Ministers’ residence and residential premises of senior officials at Sector-24 of Nava Raipur Atal Nagar at a cost of Rs 591.75 crore. The function was held in the dignified presence of Dr. Charan Das Mahant, Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly and members of the Council of Ministers and distinguished guests. State-level administrative arrangements in Raipur and a new Raipur area is being developed for all-round development. At present, the state level offices of the Ministry, Secretariat and various departments are operating here. In order to speed up the settlement of Naya Raipur area and from administrative point of view, Raj Bhavan, Chief Minister’s Housing, Housing of Ministers, Housing for Senior Officers and Infrastructure Development of the campus will be done in Sector-24 and Sector-18 of Nava Raipur. The Raj Bhavan will be developed on a total of 12.60 acres. There will be various buildings including Durbar Hall and Secretariat building. The Chief Minister’s residence and office will be in 7.50 acres. 3.19 acres of land has been allotted for the Assembly Speaker’s residence and office. Similarly, the ministers and leaders of opposition will be in 1.50 acres of accommodation and office. 13 such houses will be built. 85 houses will be built for senior officers. Each dwelling will be built on 0.45 acres. A total of 222 acres of land has been allocated for these works on 158 acres in Sector-24 and 64 acres in Sector-18, a time period of 24 months has been fixed for construction work.
